| SPECIAL TESTIMONY Regarding God's approval on this network! |
| Several months after I had started this network (which at the time consisted of only a few friends and family) I created a distribution list on my company computer in which to send the prayer request emails to. It was easier for me to facilitate the prayer chain email from my office during the early stages of this network. I supported a team of engineers in the department I worked in at the time so I also had several other work related distribution lists in my outlook address book. Incidentally, the prayer network distribution list was right next in line to the engineer distribution list. On this particular day, I had written up quite an interesting email not only with a list of prayer requests, but some information regarding the recent camp meeting services I had attended. My email was full of the Pentecostal lingo that only we understand. I had given a recap of the Friday night service in which Bro. Anthony Mangun from Alexandria LA was ministering. Needless to say I was feeling quite the anointing when writing this email so I was fired up and giving the devil what for! And...you guessed it, in my haste to get this thing out, I clicked on what I 'thought' was the prayer network distribution list only to find out a short time later that I had actually sent this fired up email to all the engineers in my department! You can only imagine how my heart was racing when I realized what I had done! What in the world would my co-workers think of me now!!! Not only that, I was so scared I would lose my job over this. I warned a few of my closest co-workers and they didn't think anything of it. As I was driving away from the office during the lunch break, I began to pray and pray hard! As I did, I have to tell you I felt the most awesome and sweet presence of the Lord fill my car. It felt as if the Lord was literally sitting in the passenger seat next to me (his presence was so real). He spoke so clearly to me that I could not doubt his voice. He simply said..."You did NOT make a mistake...I orchestrated that email"....so even though I was still having sweaty palms and my nerves were not totally at ease, I knew all was well. Once I returned to my office, I just had to remain calm and realize that I may have to deal with some weird looks (and boy did I) from some co-workers. Several hours later, an older gentleman that had an office down the hall from mine, stuck his head in my door and pointed his finger straight at me. I had no idea what he was about to say..."Young lady, that email you sent out was no accident...I NEEDED THAT!!!" From the time I first met this guy, I kept feeling something familiar about him but brushed it off since I knew I did not know him from Adam. As he stepped into my office, he quickly let me know that all this time, he KNEW what I stood for and what I believed in... As we began to discuss this further, I soon learned that he had not only been raised in and around the church, but he was the brother of one of our well-known missionaries, Sis. Bobbye Wendell! There was the resemblance that made me feel I knew him...he resembled her! I could almost feel her presence through him. At that very moment, God reminded me of his confirmation during the lunch hour in my car! Noah stood there with tears coursing down his face as he related his story to me. I had another chance to talk to him later that afternoon and again, he wept as we talked. What a witness! It goes to show that we never know who we are being an example to and it pays to be consistent in living our lives for God! Thank God for that mistake!!! P.S. May I ad that since that time I have had numerous opportunities to witness and even pray for other co-workers (one of which received an almost instantaneous healing when I was led to pray for her right in her office). DON'T BE AFRAID TO BE USED OF GOD!!! |
